A panel discussion on "Neurodiversity in the Workplace" was held in Baku
On November 17, an event titled "Neurodiversity in the Workplace" was held in Baku.
The event was attended by Azerbaijan's Minister of Health Teymur Musayev, the Executive Director of the World Health Organization (WHO) Foundation Anil Soni, the Chief Sustainability Officer of NEQSOL Holding Kadri Özen, and other officials.
During the panel discussion, there was a broad exchange of ideas on topics such as the implementation of inclusive practices to support neurodiverse individuals, work experiences and challenges in this area, practical steps to create a supportive work environment, and other related issues.
The speakers highlighted that neurodiversity encompasses a wide range of neurological conditions, including learning and communication disorders. They also emphasized the importance of supporting neurodiversity in the workplace.
Considering that neurodivergent individuals perceive the world in unique ways, they may face challenges in the workplace that affect both their personal well-being and professional growth. In this regard, it is important to create sensory-friendly workspaces and relaxation areas for them.
