The Minister of Health has signed an Order on the implementation of "Immunization Week"
Minister of Health of Azerbaijan, Teymur Musayev, has signed an order for the implementation of "Immunization Week" to be held from April 27 to May 3, 2025, across all cities and regions of the country.
The purpose of the Order is to ensure the high-level organization of "Immunization Week" in Azerbaijan, in line with the initiative of the World Health Organization, which has been held in the European Region since 2006.
According to the document, the heads of all healthcare institutions and facilities providing outpatient-polyclinic services to the child population—regardless of their organizational-legal form—have been tasked with carrying out "Immunization Week" across the country.
The document also highlights that children who, for any reason, have been left out of routine vaccinations in various cities and regions should be vaccinated during "Immunization Week." Additionally, the document outlines the provision of methodological support to healthcare institutions carrying out childhood immunization, as well as the organization of public awareness activities regarding immunization.
