A meeting was held at the Ministry of Health with the International Finance Corporation’s (IFC) Regional Director for Europe, Rana Karadsheh.
Welcoming the guests, the Minister of Health highlighted the developing cooperation between the Republic of Azerbaijan and the IFC.
During his speech, Teymur Musayev also brought to attention that the “Law of the Republic of Azerbaijan on the public-private partnership” was signed by President Ilham Aliyev. This Law defines the organizational, legal and economic basis for implementing activities in the field of public-private partnership and, at the same time, regulates the relations between the public partner and the private partner.
In the end, Teymur Musayev emphasized that there are vast opportunities for the development of public-private partnerships in the healthcare sector in our country.
In turn, Rana Karadsheh noted that our country had been a member of the Corporation since 1995. She brought to attention that substantial work has been done in the field of public-private sector partnership to attract private investments to the healthcare sector in Azerbaijan and consecutively expand and improve the quality of the services provided.
At the end of the meeting, discussions were held on the topic of further developing cooperation.
