A meeting was held at the Ministry of Health with the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan to our country, Qasim Mohiuddin.
Welcoming the guests, Minister of Health Teymur Musayev congratulated Qasim Mohiuddin on his appointment as Pakistan's ambassador to our country. Teymur Musayev emphasized that the friendly relations between Azerbaijan and Pakistan have deep historical roots. According to the minister, cooperation between the two fraternal countries in all fields serves as a model. Teymur Musayev noted the special contribution of mutual high-level visits in expanding ties between our countries.
Touching upon cooperation in the field of healthcare, Teymur Musayev noted that interactions in this realm are carried out at the international level — within the framework of cooperation with the World Health Organization, the Economic Cooperation Organization, the Organization of Islamic Cooperation, and the Non -Aligned Movement. He added, "Bilateral cooperation in medical education is also developing dynamically. Furthermore, Azerbaijan Medical University is actively collaborating with the Rifa International University. A vivid example of effective cooperation was the international medical education conference held in Baku last October, jointly organized by the two universities, bringing together specialists from different countries on a single platform."
In conclusion, the Minister of Health of Azerbaijan expressed confidence in the further development of bilateral cooperation.
In turn, Qasim Mohiuddin emphasized that Azerbaijan holds a special place in the hearts of Pakistanis. The ambassador mentioned that currently, a large number of Pakistanis are receiving higher education at Azerbaijan Medical University.
The meeting discussed new perspectives for developing and expanding cooperation in the field of healthcare and medical science. An exchange of views on other issues of mutual interest also took place.
