The leadership and staff of the Ministry of Health have respectfully honored the memory of doctors who became martyrs during the Patriotic War.
On November 8th, Azerbaijan celebrates Victory Day. This day holds exceptional significance in terms of national pride and the future development of our country. Our victory, which resonated worldwide, showcases the invincibility and pride of our people. The historic victory in Karabakh, written in golden letters in Azerbaijan's long history, was achieved under the powerful leadership of Supreme Commander-in-Chief Ilham Aliyev, at the cost of the blood and lives of our brave soldiers, officers, and martyrs. In 44 days, our courageous people and the heroic army wrote a glorious chapter in history, ending 30 years of occupation and restoring our territorial integrity. Victory Day is a chronicle of heroism in the glorious history of the Azerbaijani people.
On the fourth anniversary of the Great Victory, Minister of Health Teymur Musayev, along with the leadership of the Ministry of Health and senior officials, visited the graves of the martyrs of the Patriotic War at the Second Alley of Honor. The precious memory of the doctors and medical workers who sacrificed their lives for the territorial integrity of our country was honored with great respect, and fresh flowers were laid at their graves.
It should be noted that during the 44-day Patriotic War, 159 military medical workers sustained varying degrees of bodily injury. 44 medical workers—11 doctors, 7 paramedics, and 26 medical instructors—heroically became martyrs.
May God have mercy on all our martyrs and grant healing to our wounded soldiers!
