It has been four years since the beginning of the Patriotic War.

According to the relevant Decree by the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Supreme Commander-in-Chief Ilham Aliyev, September 27 is commemorated as Memorial Day in our country.
On Memorial Day, the leadership and staff of the Ministry of Health visited Victory Park, where they laid flowers in front of the commemorative stone at the park’s entrance and honored the cherished memory of our martyrs with deep respect.

In accordance with the Decree signed by the head of state, a Memorial Complex of the Patriotic War and a Victory Museum are being established to showcase the unparalleled heroism and great historic victory of the Azerbaijani people in the Patriotic War and to immortalize the sacred memory of our martyrs.
Relying on the unity of the people and the government, the victorious Azerbaijani Army, under the leadership of Supreme Commander-in-Chief Ilham Aliyev, inscribed one of the most glorious pages in the history of our country. September 27 is a day of pride, marking the path to the restoration of our territorial integrity, the full establishment of sovereignty, and the return to our ancestral lands. The brilliant victory in the 44-day war reversed the unjust historical process that had begun long ago.
