A meeting was held at the Ministry of Health with a group of participants from the VI National Forum of Azerbaijani Children. During the friendly meeting, Health Minister Teymur Musayev emphasized that protecting and safeguarding children's rights is one of the priorities of the Azerbaijani state: “President Ilham Aliyev always pays special attention and care to the protection of children's health. By the President's Decree, the year 2009 was declared the 'Year of the Child.'”

Highlighting the importance of the event, Teymur Musayev said: “Since 2009, the National Forum of Azerbaijani Children has been held every three years. The Forum plays a key role in increasing children's social activity, ensuring their active participation in the implementation of state policy, and drawing the attention of state institutions, the public, and civil society to the protection of children's rights. It also provides children with a platform to voice their concerns, propose initiatives, and offer recommendations.”

The Minister expressed confidence that the Forum is a significant event in children's lives and plays an important role in their future development.

“Azerbaijan's heroic sons, under the leadership of our Victorious Commander-in-Chief Ilham Aliyev, have written one of the most honorable pages in our history in just 44 days. Thanks to the blood of our martyrs and the great sacrifices made by our soldiers and officers in battles, a 30-year longing has come to an end. Some of you may one day become graduates of Karabakh University. Among you sits a future prominent scientist or doctor,” concluded the Minister.

Expressing gratitude to the Minister for the sincere meeting, the children said they always feel the state's care for them. They also mentioned their active participation in various events related to the declaration of 2024 as the "Year of Solidarity for a Green World" in Azerbaijan, which sparked their interest in the topic.

Speaking about the Forum, the guests noted that over 300 children from the capital and regions, as well as 10 children from brotherly Turkiye, will participate. The speakers emphasized that the event offers a great opportunity to select children with unique talents and analytical thinking.

Later, Teymur Musayev answered questions from the participants of the VI National Forum of Azerbaijani Children. The Ministry of Health also presented commemorative gifts to the participants. At the end of the event, the guests visited the Museum of Medical History.
