The health ministers of the member countries of the Organization of Turkic States visited the grave of the national leader Heydar Aliyev, the Alley of Martyrs and the "Turkish Martyrdom" monument
On October 8, in the city of Shusha, known as the pearl of Azerbaijan and designated as the Cultural Capital of the Turkic World in 2023, the IV meeting of health ministers of the member and observer states of the Organization of Turkic States (OTS) will take place. The event will be attended by the Secretary General of the Organization of Turkic States, the health ministers of Azerbaijan, Turkie, Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus, as well as a representative from Hungary.
Ahead of the event, on October 7, the guests visited the Alley of Honor, where they paid tribute to the great son of the Turkic world and national leader of the Azerbaijani people, Heydar Aliyev, laying a wreath and flowers at his grave.
They also honored the memory of the distinguished ophthalmologist and academician Zarifa Aliyeva by laying flowers at her grave.
Then the guests visited the Alley of Martyrs, where they respectfully paid tribute to the heroic sons of Azerbaijan who gave their lives in the struggle for the country’s freedom, sovereignty, and territorial integrity, and laid a wreath at the "Eternal Flame" monument.
The delegation also laid a wreath and flowers at the "Turkish Martyrdom" monument, erected in memory of the heroic Turkish soldiers who died in 1918 in battles for the liberation of Baku from Bolshevik-Dashnak forces.
The guests also visited the Heydar Aliyev Center, considered one of the unique pearls of world architecture. It was emphasized that the Center's activities are aimed at deeply studying and researching the philosophy of statehood and the legacy of the national leader of the Azerbaijani people, Heydar Aliyev.
It should be noted that as part of the IV meeting of the health ministers of OTS member and observer states, a meeting will take place between Azerbaijan’s Health Minister, Teymur Musayev, and the Secretary General of the Organization of Turkic States, along with bilateral meetings with the health ministers of member states.
At the conclusion, a final document – the Joint Declaration – will be adopted.
