During the 4th meeting of the health ministers of member and observer countries of the Organization of Turkic States (OTS), Azerbaijan's Minister of Health, Teymur Musayev, held bilateral meetings with his counterparts, including Turkie’s Health Minister Kemal Memişoğlu, Uzbekistan’s First Deputy Health Minister Davron Sultanov, Kazakhstan’s Deputy Minister of Health Yerbol Ospanov, Kyrgyzstan’s Health Minister Alymkadyr Beishenaliyev, and Deputy Minister of Health of the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus, Düriye Deren Oygar.

In a constructive and mutually understanding atmosphere, the meetings focused on the current state of cooperation in healthcare and medical sciences between the countries, the potential for future development, and the exchange of successful experiences and the application of progressive achievements.

During the bilateral meetings, Teymur Musayev emphasized the importance of creating a unified medical scientific space and developing unified digital health standards within the framework of the Organization. He highlighted that transplantation is one of the fastest-growing fields in modern medicine, underlining the significance of the recently signed agreement on the creation of a joint system. Musayev stressed how this collaboration would contribute to advancing healthcare across member and observer countries of the Organization of Turkic States (OTS).

In turn, the health ministers of the member and observer countries of the Organization of Turkic States (OTS) emphasized that today's meeting marked a significant step towards strengthening cooperation in the field of healthcare. During the discussions, the importance of joint programs and initiatives aimed at preventing infectious diseases, advancing the pharmaceutical industry, and ensuring the safety of medicines was highlighted. Additionally, there was expressed interest in strengthening collaboration in the digitalization of health and medical tourism, further enhancing healthcare systems across the region.

Within the framework of the meeting, the health ministers of the member and observer countries of the Organization of Turkic States emphasized the significance of the signed documents and decisions made. They highly appreciated Azerbaijan's initiative to establish the Turktransplant system, recognizing it as a vital step towards improving healthcare collaboration and addressing critical medical challenges such as organ transplantation across the Turkic states. This initiative is seen as a key contribution to advancing medical cooperation among the countries involved.
