A meeting was held at the Ministry of Health of Azerbaijan with a delegation led by Alexander Starovoytov, Deputy Minister of Health of Belarus. The meeting was also attended by Andrei Ravkov, the Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of the Republic of Belarus to Azerbaijan.

Welcoming the guests, Minister of Health Teymur Musayev emphasized that in recent years, relations between our countries have expanded in many areas. He also expressed satisfaction with the level of effective cooperation between Azerbaijan and Belarus in the healthcare sector. According to the Minister, regular reciprocal visits are organized for specialists and doctors working in fields such as oncology, transplantology, cardiology, neurosurgery, and others to participate in experience exchange and professional development events: "It is gratifying that over the years, not only strong business ties but also friendly relations have developed between medical professionals of the two countries."

The Minister also highlighted the successful cooperation between our countries in the pharmaceutical sector, noting that the pharmaceutical industry occupies an important place in innovative development worldwide: "The pharmaceutical industry is one of the key sectors of the future economy, as high-quality medicine and the health of the nation are crucial components of a country's successful socio-economic development."

Expressing gratitude for the warm welcome, the Deputy Minister of Health of Belarus emphasized that such meetings are very important for the exchange of experience and knowledge. Alexander Starovoytov noted that the pharmaceutical industry in Belarus is developing systematically and dynamically and mentioned that it is appropriate not only to export finished drug forms to Azerbaijan but also to assist in the development of this sector and the training of specialists in our country. He pointed out that Belarus has achieved significant progress in fields such as cardiac surgery, transplantology, hematology, immunology, pediatric oncology, and other areas of medicine and expressed interest in raising the cooperation with the Ministry of Health of Azerbaijan, as well as its subordinate research institutes and centers, to a higher level.

During the meeting, the parties exchanged views on prospects for future cooperation in the pharmaceutical industry, improving the process of medical personnel training, establishing cooperation in the implementation of healthcare system digitization, and other issues of mutual interest.
