A meeting was held between the health ministers of Azerbaijan and Albania
A meeting was held at the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Azerbaijan with a delegation led by the Minister of Health of the Republic of Albania, Albana Koçiu. Greeting the guests, Minister of Health Teymur Musayev highlighted the successful development of bilateral relations between our countries. The minister emphasized that the regular meetings and agreements reached by the heads of state have elevated Azerbaijan-Albania relations to a higher level.
Teymur Musayev also stated that there is great potential for the development of cooperation in the health sector between the two countries. According to the minister, all opportunities exist for the exchange of modern methodological and scientific-practical experience in the continuous professional education of our countries' top medical specialists. Additionally, there is potential for cooperation in the field of medical tourism: "Mineral water sources and other resort-recreation resources attract many tourists to Azerbaijan and Albania. Considering this, it is crucial to improve sanatorium-resort services to restore and rehabilitate the health of our citizens."
Expressing her gratitude for the warm reception and hospitality, Albana Koçiu emphasized that the friendship between our countries is a historical fact: "Active cooperation between Albania and Azerbaijan is also evident within the framework of international organizations - primarily the UN and the Organization of Islamic Cooperation."
In her speech, Albana Koçiu particularly highlighted the significance of the 29th session of the Conference of the Parties (COP29) to the UN Framework Convention on Climate Change, to be held in Baku this November.
The Albanian minister also expressed her hope that cooperation between the health ministries of our countries will continue successfully on a new level. Finally, the parties discussed cooperation issues in priority areas.
