First Deputy Minister of Health, Acting Minister of Health Teymur Musayev received representatives of the WHO Office in Azerbaijan, the Turkish Ministry of Health, and Ege University
Welcoming the guests, Teymur Musayev stressed the existence of mutually beneficial relations between our countries in all areas, including medicine.
At the meeting, the sides discussed cooperation on strengthening the ambulance and emergency medical service in Azerbaijan, enhancing the quality of pre-hospital and in-hospital emergency services, and medical services during emergency situations.
In addition, it was proposed to upgrade and expand the functional areas of ambulance stations, to bring pre-hospital medical interventions in line with international protocols.
The issues of providing all ambulance vehicles operating in the regions by the Central Station in case of emergency situations, launching and developing basic programs for medical staff working in pre-hospital ambulance services using the Turkish experience were also discussed.
Acting Minister of Health Teymur Musayev listened to the proposals of the delegation and expressed confidence that this cooperation will be successful in the future. He noted that the issues of improving knowledge and skills of the ambulance and emergency medical service’s staff are always in focus.
