A meeting was held with Fergus Auld, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland to our country, at the Ministry of Health.
After welcoming the guests, Health Minister Teymur Musayev congratulated Fergus Auld on his appointment as the Ambassador of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland to our country. The minister emphasized that Azerbaijan-Great Britain relations have a dynamic development trend. According to him, multifaceted rational relations between our countries cover many fields.
Teymur Musayev stressed that the healthcare sector in Great Britain is at a very high level. He also highlighted that the healthcare system of the country (National Health Service - NHS) is one of the most effective in the world: "British healthcare is distinguished by the application of innovative equipment to clinical practice and the high professional training of medical workers. In addition, medical universities in Great Britain are famous for the quality of education and the training of highly qualified specialists". The minister also noted that three medical schools in Great Britain are in the top ten of the best medical universities in the world."
The minister expressed hope for further successful cooperation development in health care, medical science and other areas.
In turn, Ambassador Fergus Auld noted that Great Britain pays special attention to developing relations with Azerbaijan. It was pointed out that to improve the efficiency of the health care system of our countries, there are all the necessary tools for cooperation in the field of medical education. Fergus Auld also emphasized the need for further expansion of cooperation between Azerbaijan and Great Britain in the post-covid period.
During the meeting, which was held in the spirit of constructive dialogue and mutual understanding, the current state of cooperation between Azerbaijan and Great Britain in the field of health care and medical science and potential development opportunities were discussed.
