A meeting with the Ambassador of Hungary was held at the Ministry of Health of Azerbaijan
A meeting was held at the Ministry of Health of Azerbaijan with the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Hungary, Tamás József Torma.
Welcoming the guests, Minister of Health Teymur Musayev congratulated Tamás József Torma on his appointment as the ambassador of Hungary to our country.
The minister emphasized the existence of productive cooperative relations between Azerbaijan and Hungary in the field of healthcare and medical sciences: "Our cooperation in the field of pharmaceuticals is also developing dynamically. As you know, the pharmaceutical industry is one of the most crucial sectors of the 21st century. Historically, the Hungarian pharmaceutical industry has been distinguished by high-quality products. Some of the medical institutions in our conutry are equipped with medical devices that were manufactured in Hungary. I believe that all necessary conditions are present for raising the cooperation between our countries in the field of the pharmaceutical industry to a new level."
Touching upon the issue of the COVID-19 pandemic, Teymur Musayev stressed that Azerbaijan-Hungary relations are carried out within the framework of the cooperation of health ministers of the Organization of Turkic States.
In conclusion, Teymur Musayev expressed hope for a further successful and dynamic development of bilateral relations.
In his turn, Tamás József Torma emphasized the successful cooperation between our countries in the pharmaceutical industry. The ambassador said that novel opportunities for interaction would be created in the field of medical education."Currently, about 1,200 Azerbaijani citizens are Hungarian higher education institutions students. I believe there are real prerequisites for the number of Azerbaijani students receiving medical education in Hungary to increase in the future," the ambassador emphasized.
During the conversation, which was held under the conditions of constructive dialogue and mutual understanding, the current situation and potential development opportunities of Azerbaijan-Hungary cooperation in the field of health and medical sciences, as well as the prospects of bilateral cooperation in the field of pharmaceutical products were discussed.
