A meeting was held at the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Azerbaijan with a delegation headed by Deputy Governor of the Sverdlovsk Region of the Russian Federation Vasily Kozlov.
At the meeting, issues of developing cooperation in the healthcare sector were discussed, including the exchange of experience in the provision of medical services, the use of advanced technologies in the development of healthcare and the training of highly qualified personnel.
Welcoming the delegation, Teymur Musayev noted that cooperation between countries in the field of healthcare is carried out within the framework of the “Agreement on Cooperation in the Field of Healthcare and Medical Science” signed between the Ministries of Health of the Republic of Azerbaijan and the Russian Federation. The minister emphasized successful cooperation in the field of medical education: “The opening of the first branch of the internationally ranked Russian medical university in Azerbaijan was implemented with the support of President Ilham Aliyev and the initiative of the First Vice-President of Azerbaijan, graduate and honorary professor of Sechenov University Mehriban Aliyeva.”
It was noted that there is a successful cooperation in the pharmaceutical industry, as well as the exchange of experience in other priority areas in the field of medicine.
Deputy Governor of the Sverdlovsk Region of the Russian Federation Vasily Kozlov thanked the minister for the warm welcome.
He emphasized that within the framework of the Agreement signed between Azerbaijan and the Sverdlovsk region, there is a successful cooperation experience in the field of medicine. Interest was noted in joint cooperation in the areas of high-tech medical care, pharmaceuticals, spa treatment, medical tourism and personnel training.
The parties also discussed opportunities for further cooperation in other areas.
