The Ministry of Health held a meeting with the Director General of the National Medical Research Center of Radiology of Russia
At the Ministry of Health, a meeting was held with the General Director of Russia's National Medical Research Radiology Center (NMRRC), Academician Andrey Kaprin. The meeting was also attended by the General Director of the National Oncology Center, Academician Jamil Aliyev.
Welcoming the guests, Minister of Health Teymur Musayev emphasized that cooperation between Azerbaijan and Russia is developing successfully both bilaterally and multilaterally: "The close ties between our countries define a broad range of cooperation in healthcare, including oncology."
Teymur Musayev also highlighted the importance of the Baku branch of the I.M. Sechenov First Moscow State Medical University: "Doctors who have graduated from this university make a significant contribution to the development of healthcare in the country."
In his speech, the Minister emphasized that serious measures have been taken in Azerbaijan for cancer treatment, and this work is continuing systematically: "The oncology service in Azerbaijan has undergone significant and successful development. Currently, thanks to the attention and care of President Ilham Aliyev, the National Oncology Center is equipped with the latest medical technology and serves as the leading structure coordinating scientific, methodological, and preventive work to provide qualified oncological care to the population of the republic."
The Minister of Health of Azerbaijan noted the importance of joint scientific research in the fields of oncology, radiology, and urology, emphasizing the highly professional personnel at Russia's National Medical Research Radiology Center.
Expressing gratitude for the warm welcoming, Academician Andrey Kaprin emphasized the importance of such meetings for the exchange of experience and knowledge. The NMRRC General Director also provided detailed information about the activities of his center, noting that the main focus areas of the NMRRC are the examination and treatment of patients using the most modern methods and technologies, applying the best achievements of global oncology and radiology.
He also noted that the modern conditions created at the National Oncology Center for high-quality cancer treatment fully meet global standards.
In conclusion, both sides discussed cooperation in priority areas.
