The delegation of the Ministry of Health of Türkiye got acquainted with the sights of Shusha, the cultural capital of Azerbaijan
A two-day working visit of the delegation led by the Turkish Minister of Health Fahrettin Koca continues to Azerbaijan. Within the framework of the visit, the Turkish delegation visited the city of Shusha, the pearl of Karabakh, a symbol of Azerbaijan's history and culture.
The acquaintance of the guests with the capital of Azerbaijani culture started from the central square of Shusha, where the bullet-perforated statues of the iconic figures of our country, such as Bulbul, Khurshidbanu Natavan and Uzeyir Hajibeyli are located.
It was pointed out that the city of Shusha, a 270-year-old cultural capital, has always been known as the birthplace of Azerbaijani national music and poetry. The development of various fields of craftsmanship and art played an essential role the in the prosperity of the Karabakh region and our country as a whole. Shusha is a land of outstanding people who have made an invaluable contribution to the development of Azerbaijani literature and culture.
Later, the Turkish Ministry of Health delegation visited historical sites including the fortress of Shusha, Natavan Spring, Bulbul's House-Museum, Molla Panah Vagif's Museum-Mausoleum, and Cıdır Plain.
Visiting the mosque of Yukhari Govhar Agha, the guests performed Friday prayers. Prayers were read for the repose of the souls of the Patriotic War martyrs.
The Minister of Health of Türkiye expressed his admiration for the beauty of the cultural capital and emphasized the historical significance of the liberation of Shusha.
Fahrettin Koca noted that he felt extreme joy and pride in the liberation of the territories that had been under Armenian occupation for many years, including the city of Shusha. The liberation of the territories was achieved under the leadership of the President, Supreme Commander-in-Chief Ilham Aliyev and the brave Azerbaijani army.
