The leader of the Azerbaijani delegation, Minister of Health Teymur Musayev, held a meeting with Dr. Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus, the Director-General of the World Health Organization (WHO), within the framework of the 77th session of the World Health Assembly. During the meeting, Teymur Musayev emphasized the great importance Azerbaijan attaches to close cooperation with the World Health Organization and expressed gratitude for the support provided by the WHO to Azerbaijan during the past period. In turn, Dr. Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus highly appreciated the importance President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev places on cooperation with the WHO. The WHO Director-General expressed confidence that successful joint projects with Azerbaijan will continue in the future. Congratulating Azerbaijan on hosting the 29th session of the Conference of the Parties to the Framework Convention on Climate Change (COP29), the esteemed invitation to participate in this important event, the WHO Director-General thanked the Government of Azerbaijan. Dr. Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus highlighted Azerbaijan's consistent organization of significant international events at the highest level and noted his anticipation for Azerbaijan's participation in COP29 in November. Finally, there was an exchange of views on other mutually interesting issues.
