Nadir Azer oglu Zeynalov
Deputy Minister
Nadir Zeynalov was born on October 24, 1976, into a prominent family in Baku. He received his secondary education at School No. 20 in Baku. In 1999, he graduated with honors from the Faculty of Medicine at Azerbaijan Medical University (AMU). His subsequent professional career has been associated with the Department of Surgery at AMU: he worked as a clinical resident from 1999 to 2001, as a postgraduate student from 2001 to 2004, as an assistant from 2005 to 2013, and has been serving as an associate professor at the same department since 2013.
In 2006, he obtained a Ph.D. in Medicine, and in 2021, he was awarded the academic title of associate professor in surgery. From 2015 onwards, he has been engaged in administrative roles. Specifically, he served as the director of the International Relations Department at AMU from 2015 to 2016, as the Vice-Rector for International Relations at AMU from 2016 to 2019, and from 2019 to 2021, he worked as the head of the Office of the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Azerbaijan.
By the decree of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan dated February 3, 2022, he was appointed as the Deputy Minister of Health.
He is proficient in Russian, English, and Turkish.
He is married and has three children.
