On September 22, President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev received Minister of Health of the Republic of Türkiye Fahrettin Koca.

Fahrettin Koca conveyed the greetings of the President of the Republic of Türkiye, Recep Tayyip Erdogan, to the head of state.

President Ilham Aliyev expressed his gratitude for the greetings and asked to convey his greetings to Recep Tayyip Erdogan.

Fahrettin Koca emphasized that the unbreakable unity and fraternal ties between the heads of state of Azerbaijan and Türkiye are a guideline for cooperation between the ministries of health and all other institutions. In this regard, the ministries of our countries are closely cooperating.

The Minister of Health of Türkiye noted that the liberation of our lands from occupation under the leadership of President Ilham Aliyev brings him a great sense of joy. He also expressed his condolences to the martyrs and wished for a quick recovery for veterans. Emphasizing the importance of the Shusha Declaration, Fahrettin Koca stated that they are working to develop and strengthen healthcare sector relations according to the document's goals.

The Turkish minister stressed that it is a fraternal duty to share the experience and scientific knowledge gained in the healthcare field of his country with Azerbaijani colleagues. He spoke about the importance of the Azerbaijan- Türkiye Health Business Forum held in Baku with the support of our head of state.

Fondly recalling the meeting with the head of the Turkish state in Uzbekistan, President Ilham Aliyev noted that our friendly and fraternal ties are constantly developing in all areas. Referring to the Shusha Declaration, the head of state assessed it as an official manifestation of our relations. He noted that this Declaration reflects the will of our people and the interest of our states.

The President of Azerbaijan expressed his gratitude for the treatment of our veterans by Turkish doctors both during and after the war.

Stressing the cooperation within the framework of the Organization of Turkic States, the head of state noted that relations in the healthcare field are commendable from this point of view and touched upon the importance of the Azerbaijan- Türkiye Healthcare Business Forum.
