The delegation of the Azerbaijan State Advanced Training Institute for Doctors named after A. Aliyev under the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Azerbaijan held a number of meetings in Beijing.
During the meeting with the leadership of the National Administration of Traditional Chinese Medicine of the People’s Republic of China, the application of Traditional Chinese Medicine as well as opportunities for international cooperation in this field were discussed. The existence of strategic partnership relations between Azerbaijan and China was emphasized, and an agreement was reached to expand future cooperation.

The Azerbaijani delegation also familiarized itself with the activities of the clinic of the Beijing University of Chinese Medicine. A meeting was held between Professor Nazim Panahov, Rector of the Azerbaijan State Advanced Training Institute for Doctors named after A. Aliyev, and Tang Zhishu, Rector of the Beijing University of Chinese Medicine, and a Memorandum of Understanding was signed.
Later, during a meeting held at the Peking University Health Science Center, issues of cooperation in continuing medical education, scientific research, and the exchange of residents and trainees were discussed. The parties agreed to establish a joint working group and to sign a cooperation memorandum in the future.

During the meeting held at the Peking University People’s Hospital, the delegation was introduced to the hospital’s healthcare management model, diversification mechanisms in the organization of medical services, and the field of traumatology.
The meetings held open new opportunities for expanding cooperation between Azerbaijan and China in medical education, traditional medicine, and healthcare organization.
