Azerbaijan and the United States expand cooperation in the field of health
The Minister of Health of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Teymur Musayev, held a meeting with members of the U.S. Chamber of Commerce.
During the meeting, the current state of cooperation between Azerbaijan and the United States in the field of healthcare, as well as prospects for its further development, were discussed. The parties addressed issues related to the modernization of the healthcare system, the introduction of innovative medical technologies, and cooperation in the pharmaceutical industry and medical education.
Information was provided on the reforms implemented in the healthcare sector under the leadership of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, including measures aimed at improving the quality of medical services, strengthening human capital in the healthcare sector, and advancing digitalization initiatives. Teymur Musayev emphasized the importance of expanding mutually beneficial cooperation with international partners, including companies from the United States.
At the meeting, Jennifer Miel, Vice President of the U.S. Chamber of Commerce for the Middle East, Central Asia, and Türkiye, expressed interest in strengthening cooperation with Azerbaijan and highlighted the potential for sharing the expertise and technologies of American companies in the healthcare and pharmaceutical sectors.
The meeting concluded with an exchange of views and a discussion of prospective areas for future cooperation.
