The Ministry of Health organized a comprehensive medical examination of children in the liberated city of Fizuli.
The "Great Return to Territories Liberated from Occupation" program is one of the main priorities of the Republic of Azerbaijan.
The Ministry of Health has started actions related to the promotion of a healthy lifestyle among the citizens relocated to the territories freed from occupation and conducting medical examinations in various directions. The main purpose of these measures is to promote physical activity among the population relocated to the territories freed from occupation, and at the same time to make an additional contribution to strengthening the health of citizens.
The first such event held by the K. Y. Farajova Scientific-Research Pediatric Institute of the Ministry of Health took place on February 5 in the city of Fuzuli, which was liberated from occupation. Within the framework of the event organized by the Ministry, complex medical examinations of children living in the liberated territories of Fuzuli region were conducted.
The medical examination campaign was held in order to determine and evaluate the health status of children, early detection and elimination of the causes of diseases, and preparation of preventive measures.
During the campaign, pediatricians, pediatric surgeons, cardiologists, neurologists and ophthalmologists, as well as functional diagnostic specialists (USM and Echocardiography specialists) of the Ministry of Health's Scientific-Research Pediatric Institute examined children belonging to the younger and older age groups. At the same time, on-site medical advice was given, preventive examinations were conducted and appropriate treatment was prescribed.
During the event, more than 150 children underwent a general examination by doctors, as well as ultrasound and echocardiography examinations.
It should be noted that the Ministry of Health plans to conduct continuous medical examinations and educational events in other areas freed from occupation.
