Meeting Held at the Ministry of Health with the Head of the Türkiye–Azerbaijan Interparliamentary Friendship Group
Azerbaijan’s Minister of Health, Teymur Musayev, met with a delegation led by Shamil Ayrim, a Member of the Grand National Assembly of Türkiye (TBMM) representing Istanbul and Head of the Türkiye–Azerbaijan Interparliamentary Friendship Group.
During the meeting, the parties emphasized that the friendly and brotherly relations between Azerbaijan and Türkiye continue to develop successfully across all sectors, including healthcare.
Welcoming the guests, Minister of Health Teymur Musayev stated that the strategic partnership and allied relations between Azerbaijan and Türkiye create significant opportunities for expanding cooperation in the healthcare sector. He noted that the exchange of experience, professional ties, and joint initiatives between the healthcare institutions of the two countries make an important contribution to the development of their healthcare systems.
Teymur Musayev highlighted the importance of Türkiye’s advanced experience in healthcare for Azerbaijan and stressed the considerable potential for expanding bilateral cooperation, particularly in medical personnel training, the implementation of modern medical technologies, the digitalization of healthcare, and other areas.
In turn, Shamil Ayrim expressed his gratitude for the warm reception. He emphasized the importance of further strengthening cooperation between Azerbaijan and Türkiye in the healthcare sector, alongside the continued development of relations across all areas.
During the meeting, the parties exchanged views on expanding existing cooperation in healthcare, enhancing the exchange of experience, strengthening ties in medical education and professional development, as well as other matters of mutual interest.
The parties emphasized that Azerbaijan–Türkiye relations are developing on a solid foundation and expressed confidence that cooperation in the healthcare sector would continue to advance successfully.
