A meeting was held at the Ministry of Health of Azerbaijan with the Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of Cuba to our country, Carlos Enrique Valdés de la Concepción.
During the meeting, satisfaction was expressed with the development of bilateral relations between Azerbaijan and Cuba. It was noted that there is close cooperation between our countries in many fields, including healthcare.
It was noted that, within the framework of measures aimed at preventing the widespread transmission of COVID-19 in 2020, the arrival in Azerbaijan of medical teams consisting of Cuban specialists served to further strengthen bilateral relations between our countries, including in the field of healthcare.
Emphasizing the importance of the Memorandum of Understanding signed between the ministries of the two countries during the visit of the delegation of the Ministry of Health to Cuba in 2023, the parties noted that this document contributes to the strengthening of bilateral ties in the development of healthcare and medical science, as well as to the implementation of cooperation programs.
The meeting also included an exchange of views on other issues of mutual interest.
