A meeting was held at the Ministry of Health with a delegation led by Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland to Azerbaijan James Sharp.
Welcoming the guests, First Deputy Minister of Health, Acting Minister of Health Teymur Musayev stressed the dynamic development of Azerbaijani-British relations. According to him, there are diverse rational relations between our countries in many areas. Mr. Musayev expressed hope for further development of successful cooperation in medical science and other fields.
In turn, Ambassador James Sharp stressed that the United Kingdom stands ready to support the establishment of medical facilities in the territories liberated during the 44-day Patriotic war. Touching upon the global COVID-19 pandemic disaster, Mr. Sharp noted the need to expand cooperation between Azerbaijan and the United Kingdom in the post-COVID period.
During the meeting, the sides underlined the importance of developing cooperation in the field of health and medical science, as well as future cooperation in the pharmaceutical industry.
