Prospects for cooperation in the field of healthcare were discussed between Azerbaijan and the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus
A meeting was held at the Ministry of Health with the delegation led by the Minister of Health of the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus, Hakan Dinçyürek, who is currently on an official visit to Azerbaijan.
Minister of Health Teymur Musayev welcomed the guests and emphasized that cooperation between Azerbaijan and the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus has been developing successfully across various fields, including healthcare. The Minister noted that there are favorable opportunities to expand cooperation through the exchange of professional experience in the healthcare sector, as well as in medical education, healthcare management, digital solutions, the organization of healthcare services, and other areas.
Teymur Musayev also provided detailed information on the healthcare reforms implemented in Azerbaijan in recent years, including the digitalization of the healthcare system, the modernization of medical infrastructure, and measures undertaken to ensure the population's access to high-quality healthcare services.
Thanking the hosts for the warm welcome, Minister of Health of the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus Hakan Dinçyürek stated that great importance is attached to the development of cooperation with Azerbaijan in the field of healthcare.
He noted that the exchange of experience in medical education, specialist training, the organization of healthcare services, digital health, and health tourism would be beneficial for both sides.
During the meeting, the parties exchanged views on expanding cooperation in the fields of healthcare and medical science, the participation of healthcare professionals in reciprocal training programs, the development of collaboration in medical research, opportunities for cooperation in health tourism, as well as other issues of mutual interest.
