Minister of Health Meets with Director of UNOPS Austria Multi-Country Office
Minister of Health of the Republic of Azerbaijan Teymur Musayev met with Simonetta Siligato, Director of the Austria Multi-Country Office (AUMCO) of the United Nations Office for Project Services (UNOPS) and Head of Mission.
The meeting focused on the current state of the longstanding cooperation between the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Azerbaijan and UNOPS, achievements to date, prospective joint projects, and opportunities to further strengthen cooperation.
It was noted that cooperation between the Ministry of Health and UNOPS has been ongoing since 2005. Over the years, the two sides have maintained close cooperation and effective coordination in the implementation of a number of projects across various areas of the health sector.
Minister Teymur Musayev emphasized that the Republic of Azerbaijan attaches particular importance to cooperation with international partners in the health sector. He highlighted the importance of effectively drawing on international experience and best practices to advance the health system, promote the adoption of modern medical technologies and solutions, strengthen health infrastructure, and further improve the quality of healthcare services.
The meeting also included an exchange of views on further advancing existing areas of cooperation between UNOPS and Azerbaijan, implementing new projects in the health sector, and other matters of mutual interest.
The meeting was also attended by UNOPS Partnership Advisor Konstantin Egorov and UNOPS Partnership Coordinator for Azerbaijan Dinara Guliyeva.
