Health Minister and Chinese Ambassador Discuss New Phase of Cooperation
A meeting was held between the Minister of Health of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Teymur Musayev, and the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the People's Republic of China to our country, Ms. Lu Mei. The Minister emphasized that Azerbaijani-Chinese relations have been developing dynamically as a result of the efforts of the leaders of the two countries: “The Joint Statement on the Establishment of a Comprehensive Strategic Partnership between the Republic of Azerbaijan and the People's Republic of China, signed by the heads of state, has elevated relations between the two countries to a higher level.” Teymur Musayev noted that the strategic partnership between our countries covers many areas, and highlighted that cooperation in the field of healthcare holds special significance in this context.
Chinese Ambassador Ms. Lu Mei expressed her satisfaction with the dynamic development of friendly relations between the two countries and stated her confidence that joint initiatives in the field of healthcare would continue in the future.
During the meeting, the current state of cooperation in the healthcare sector between the two countries and its future development prospects were discussed. In particular, opportunities for joint collaboration were explored in areas such as medical education, scientific research activities, pharmaceuticals, the application of innovative technologies, and other areas of mutual interest.
