The Ministry of Health held an educational campaign dedicated to promotion of healthy lifestyle for school-aged children in Fizuli
Within the framework of the "Great Return to Liberated Territories" program, which is based on the main priorities of the Republic of Azerbaijan, measures to promote a healthy lifestyle among citizens resettled to the liberated territories continue to be carried out by the Ministry of Health. In this regard, educational events and campaigns dedicated to promoting a healthy lifestyle for school-age children and their parents were organized by the Center for Public Health and Reforms of the Ministry in the city of Fizuli on February 23, 2024.
Representatives of The Center for Public Health and Reforms (CPHR) made presentations on topics such as "Maintaining Health" and "Healthy Lifestyle." Recommendations were given about choosing a healthy lifestyle from an early age for the comprehensive development of school-age children, the importance of daily physical activity, and healthy nutrition. The significance of purposeful educational events in our country and the continuous focus on the healthy development of the younger generation were emphasized.
Information was provided about the "Healthy Child" internet portal (https://saglamusaq.az/) and its mobile application prepared by the Public Health and Reforms Center of the Ministry of Health. It was noted that the portal, designed for students, teachers, and parents, gathers useful information, educational materials, videos, and interactive games related to health promotion and strengthening.
Following the event, a comprehensive promotion and encouragement of a healthy lifestyle were conducted during the educational campaign, and drawings depicting the harmful effects of vices were exhibited. Additionally, an interactive quiz on a healthy lifestyle was organized to reinforce the knowledge acquired among the students. Participants of the campaign were presented with gifts promoting a healthy lifestyle.
Approximately 300 students, teachers, and parents participated in the educational event and campaign.
It should be noted that the Ministry of Health plans to continue conducting educational events and screening campaigns regularly in other liberated areas as well.
