A meeting was held at the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Azerbaijan with the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the State of Israel to our country, Ronen Krausz.
During the meeting, the current state and development prospects of cooperation between Azerbaijan and Israel in the field of healthcare were discussed. The parties emphasized the importance of implementing joint projects in the areas of medical science, the application of advanced technologies, personnel training, and the digitalization of the healthcare system.
Azerbaijan’s Minister of Health, Teymur Musayev, noted that the advanced practices applied in Israel’s healthcare system are of great interest to Azerbaijan and highlighted the importance of expanding experience exchange in this area. It was particularly noted that there are wide opportunities for implementing mutually beneficial projects in such fields as medical education, hospital management, telemedicine, pharmaceuticals, medical technologies, and medical tourism, as well as for expanding direct cooperation between the leading medical centers and research institutes of the two countries.
Ambassador Ronen Krausz, in turn, emphasized that the friendship and partnership relations between Israel and Azerbaijan are developing dynamically, and that cooperation in the field of healthcare is an important component of these relations.
During the meeting, the sides also exchanged views on other issues of mutual interest.
