Azerbaijan’s Ministry of Health Participates in Regional Policy Dialogue in Brussels
A Regional Policy Dialogue on “A Resilient Workforce, Stronger Health Systems” was held in Brussels, organized by the World Health Organization (WHO) Regional Office for Europe.
Held as part of the “Health Resilience in the Eastern Partnership” initiative, the event focused on the retention and development of the health workforce, improving working conditions, supporting the well-being and mental health of health workers, and strengthening the resilience of health systems.
A delegation representing the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Azerbaijan and its subordinate healthcare institutions participated in the event.
During the panel discussion, Konul Salimova, Acting Head of the Human Resources Department of the Ministry of Health, provided information on the measures being implemented in Azerbaijan to retain and develop the health workforce, as well as the country’s existing experience in this area.
At the conclusion of the event, the importance of regional cooperation and the exchange of experience in ensuring the resilience of the health workforce was emphasized.
